About us.

     The company started its activity in 1959-1962, and in 1962-1991 it engaged in cargo and passenger traffic, after which it was reorganized into a state motor transport company (Rokiškis ATĮ) and state bus fleet (Rokiškis AP). After the privatization of the state motor transport company in 1993, the joint-stock company Rokiškio Autotransportas was registered. In 2001 Rokiškio Autotransportas Joint-Stock Company was reorganized into Rokauta Limited Liability Company. Now the enterprise’s capital is private and the key shareholders and owners are three brothers one of whom has been working in the company since 1981 and has been managing the company since 1993.
     The assets of the company include manufacturing facilities of 25,000 m2 in Rokiškis, next to the highway A122: Panevėžys-Daugpilis (Latvia).

      In the course of time the number of vehicles in the company was changing both quantitatively and qualitatively. The main sphere of activity of Rokiškis State Motor transport Company was local cargo carriage by tipper lorries. After the privatization of the state company and registration Rokiškio Autotransportas AB in 1993, the nature of the main activity, i.e. cargo transportation by motor transport, essentially changed. International cargo transportation was started from 1994. Old automobiles were sold or written off, and the activity of the company was oriented towards the investments into vehicles for international transportation and know-how. New traction-engines, various semi-trailers and refrigerators were basically purchased and investments into equipment for vehicle repairs and technical support as well as the manufacturing facilities were made.

     Relying on its long experience, Rokauta UAB provides truly high-quality services in cargo transportation and is recognized on local and international markets. Within those very changeable years of existence the company managed to survive and settle on the market, overcome all crises, more than once get reoriented towards absolutely new working conditions, which proves that we have a highly-qualified and very experienced team in the sphere of cargo transportation that can solve any most complicated issues relating to the cargo transportation technologies. The company employees speak Lithuanian, Russian, German and English.

     Our school for training and professional development of drivers ensures high professionalism of our drivers and reliability of the entire company. All our vehicles are equipped with mobile phones, state-of-the-art EutelTRACS Qualcomm (USA) GPS equipment, which is why we quickly and expeditiously settle all problems arising during the trip. We know where our vehicles are and what they are doing at any moment, drivers quickly find loading and unloading destinations and are never late. At the customer’s request, two drivers can be assigned to the trip for faster delivery of the cargo.
     Rokauta UAB is one of the oldest members of the Lithuanian National Road Carrier’s Association LINAVA and it enjoys all the benefits provided by the Association. The liability of Rokauta UAB according to the CMR Convention is insured in IF Draudimas for the amount of up to 260,000 EUR (0.9 million Lt).
As the main objective of motor transport is to duly and safely deliver the goods to the point of destination according to the preferences of companies or individuals, the company pays a lot of attention to the modernisation of its vehicles and ensuring the quality.
